July 21 Championship Gaming Series: OMG !
First I wanna thank ICandee for blogging on this earlier last week which got me to TiVo the Championship Gaming Series. So this morning I started watching and was blown away not just by the show , but how I sat here and got so into it as if I were watching the greatest football team ever the Pittsburgh Steelers (did I just type that). Anyhow I didnt care what team won in the end, but I was cheering for the underdog from each team and made it a blast to watch.
The show is hosted by some Jabronee I dont know and Johnathon Fatality who dosent say much, but the two of them together do a great job of calling the action. The games involved in the show were Forza 2, FIFA, DOA4 and Counter Strike Source. Each team wins points in each game that add up to the winning total at the end. In the episode I wacthed the San Faransico Optix made a come from behind win in CSS to beat the #1 ranked team the Dallas Venom. Heck they even have cheesie managers on both teams.
Lastly Id like to add some the best DOA4 fighting Ive ever seen on this show by both the male and females team members. Championship Gaming Series, watch it on G4TV and thanks again ICandee, I would have missed this one. July 20 We're going on a BoatThe Carnival Victory
Hell yeah its that time of year again. Thats right people im hitting the high seas and heading to Canada this time instead of the caribbean. Im not leaving till the 26th, but this is my way of getting ready for it. So five days of no gaming (yeah right i'll have my PSP and it will be loaded with podcasts) and drinking L.I.T.'s and maybe some of dat Canadian Brew ! It may be a light week of bloggin from me unless anything wonderful happens, but I plan to relax leading up to my holiday (works been a bitch lately)......lol. July 18 The Weekend: Well Id like to......
....finish off the lastest chapter of Eternal Sonata which has been a bit of a pain to the point were I dreaded picking up the game again. I m kinda stuck in puzzle area of the game that with some time should be not to big of an issue. And by "some" time im talking an hour or two at least. Well I broke down and found a online walk-through. I'd really like to get this game going before the fall and holiday storm hits. Of coures will this actually happen ? Im hoping so Ill be running out of time, next weekend I hit the high seas once again. Thats 5 days of no gaming....... July 17 Dead Rising 2 ?
Zombies....we all love em right ? Thought so. Well the latest issue of GameInformer gives some info on a new sequel, kind of. Capcom is now preparing the next entry in the Dead Rising series to be "episodic". So whats that mean for us? Downloadable content or lower retail software pricing, who cares..... just get it out to us Capcom,....Please ! July 16 Looking Forward To ....... ?
The smoke has cleared and with only 1 day left for E3 I think we've seen all that there is as far as major games or annoucements (Bungies got pulled at the last minuet) are concerned. So what caught your eye at E3, what are you looking forward to? With most of the game we saw coming our way this fall I cant really say that Im more excited about over another. Gears 2, Fallout, Force Unleased and Left for Dead are all favorites of mine and I cant wait to play them all. Its the New Live Expeirence that Im looking forward to most. Nothing beats the great games headed are way, but to checkout the new interface and new features really has my interest peaked. So Ill have pleanty of games to keep me busy untill then. Am I gonna favor the Xbox 360 in my rundown of the E3 press conference from the Big 3? I dont need to, actions speak louder the words. So heres how I felt each scored in E3 08.
THE WINNER: MICROSOFT SCORE A-
2ND PLACE: NINTENDO SCORE B-
3RD PLACE: SONY SCORE D+
Even with the Minor Celebrities not on site we still give you the scoop on E3 and how the big 3 faired. Sony seemed lost out on stage and Nintendo showed some games, thats all they need to do at this point anyway. Sony brought NOTHING to the table at all. Microsoft I felt had a pretty good show and was the only one to end with a bang. Its gonna be another great holiday season to be a 360 owner ! And dont for get to check the other half of the Minor Celebrities at The Superghost Haunted House of Xbox were im sure he'll post his thoughts on the Microsoft pres conference as well.
July 14 Well The Microsoft E3 Press Conference is Over.............
Its come and gone, the MS press con has shown what 360 gamers have to look forward to. Oddly enough there wasnt much for the distant future but qualty still poked its head out. Heres how my Wish list compared.
All in all not a bad show, it had no personality thanks to Peter Moore being over at EA. Lets see what the rest of the week brings shall we...... Too Human Demo : OMG ?
Im not going to tell you every little detail about the the Too Hman demo, But I will say its good , DAMN good. It may not be prettiest game out there , but ill let that slide for now. The demo is a great way to get ready for a game thats going to have a lot of RPG elements. So learning how to use the menus is a good idea. My only complaint is that your AI team mates dont seem to do much. I guess if they if they helped there wouldnt be much for you to do, but it makes them seem so worthless. Either way Too Human looks like it will be worth your loot !
